The large quantity of mail delivered every day by the US postal service is about 500 million pieces.
This is a huge amount of mail. The cause could be the low price of postage fees and the fact that people are accustomed to shuffling paper and envelopes all around the country.
This is why each year billions of letters are stuffed into billions of envelopes that get mechanically hauled in postal service trucks to special sorting centers, from there off to the mail airplanes, and then into the postal trucks and finally to the local postal carriers.

Rising Shopping Prices Are Going To Do Us All In
I just came back from a trip to the grocery store where nothing unusual happened, except that I couldn’t
get it out of my head that I just paid two dollars for one lousy head of lettuce. I mean, it was summer and this stuff was supposed to be in season, and therefore at, or near its lowest price of the year.
My total bill for this trip was under 60 dollars, after all I was just stopping for a few things. Then I remembered that my mother used to do an entire weeks shopping for a family of four, for under 40.
